Our Functions

Enterprise Services

Enterprise Services delivers, operates and supports the core IT that is fundamental to the operation of the Cabinet Office and in turn the country, as well as the Office of the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Office of the Advocate General, the Crown Commercial Service, and the Government Property Agency.

Known internally as ‘OFFICIAL IT’, our services cover laptops, smartphones, the software such as Google running on those devices, deskphones, printers, video-conferencing, WiFi, networks and other critical technologies. We also support Rosa and Machinery of Government (MoG) changes, as well as user training. We provide these services to approximately 15,000 users located across the United Kingdom in ever changing and evolving office locations.

We stabilise, simplify, and transform these services in order to maximise the potential of the Cabinet Office’s people, processes, technology and security.

The Enterprise Services team provides the OFFICIAL IT services on which the Cabinet Office depends

Cyber

The Cyber and Information Security function secures the Cabinet Office against cyber threats, and enables the secure delivery of the department’s mission. We do this by defining cyber security policies and standards for the organisation, delivering shared cyber security capabilities across the organisation, and supporting the organisation in understanding and governing cyber risk.

Product

The product function is about facilitating the right product enablement for users across the CO, whether that product is built, bought or augmented, it should always be centred around the user’s needs.

As Ambassadors of Digital Transformation for Cabinet Office we are partnering with business units by enabling transformation through user centred delivery.
